Shirts engine 5 October, 2005

Who else would throw in a complimentary T-shirt with their hardware? Such a simple (and cheap) thing to do, but guaranteed to raise a smile, turn the mundane experience of opening a box with a server in it into something a bit more memorable and provide a walking advert for your products.

   In my humble opinion a t-shirt is a bit pants, a couple of mugs and a nice pen would be better and take pride of place on an admins/managers desk. I mean you did spend a couple of grand with them..Maybe even let you select what you want as a freebie would be a good way forward…

   I recently bought a Siemens phone that was a couple of hundred quid and that came with a nice big fleece, much better than a shoddy t-shirt :-)
